As part of its Pomellato for Women initiative, Pomellato draws attention to key issues affecting women worldwide every year around International Women’s Day. Through campaigns, studies, and prominent voices, the company uses its platform to highlight social injustices and spark public discourse.
Economic Abuse Brought to Light
On March 8, 2026, Pomellato presented its video campaign “The Price of Freedom,” which addresses an often overlooked form of violence: economic abuse. As CEO Sabina Belli emphasizes, financial independence is the foundation of dignity and self-determination. The campaign is based on a study commissioned by Pomellato and conducted by the SDA Bocconi School of Management, which identifies three typical patterns: restriction (control over money and decisions), sabotage (obstruction of work, education, or opportunities), and exploitation (use of income or labor to reinforce power imbalances).
Prominent Voices Break the Silence
The film focuses on international personalities such as Jane Fonda, Kerry Washington, Michelle Monaghan, and many more. Together, they expose the mechanisms of economic abuse and emphasize that speaking out about such experiences breaks down the “walls of silence.” At the same time, Pomellato renews its support for CADMI and FreeFrom with a clear call to action: recognize economic abuse, talk about it, and strengthen financial autonomy as a fundamental right.
