With the new “Bird Family Collection,” Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen presents a poetic jewelry line that combines the beauty of nature with the themes of community and individuality. The collection was designed by Sofia Lynggaard Normann. The delicate bird pendants blend organic forms with meticulous goldsmithing and tell a story of freedom, togetherness, and personal expression.

Inspired by the Symbolism of Birds

Birds have long been regarded as symbols of freedom, courage, and connection—values that lie at the heart of the Bird Family Collection. Inspired by her close relationship with nature and her drawing style, Sofia Lynggaard Normann developed five distinct bird motifs, each embodying its own personality. The collection reflects the idea that individuality and community complement one another: each bird has its own character while remaining part of a larger family.

Colorful Gemstones and Delicate Details

The Bird Family Collection features handcrafted charms and pendants made of 18-karat gold. Four of the bird motifs are set with select gemstones such as green tourmaline, cerise tourmaline, rose quartz, or rutilated quartz, while a fifth design takes the form of a symbolic key. Polished, satin-finished, and finely engraved surfaces lend the pieces a special depth and highlight the unique character of each design. The pendants can be worn in a variety of ways on bracelets or necklaces, combining playful lightness with elegance.

With the Bird Family Collection, Sofia Lynggaard Normann continues her creative exploration of nature. Following her lines inspired by the underwater world, the designer expands her creative universe with a collection that beautifully combines emotional symbolism, colorful gemstones, and modern jewelry design.
