The Vienna Opera Ball will return to the most beautiful ballroom in the world on February 16th. After a two-year break, Austria’s most important ball is a welcome sign of optimism and joie de vivre. For this special occasion, Heldwein has provided the Young Men’s Committee and well-known personalities from culture and society, such as the soprano Camilla Nylund and Birgit Reitbauer, co-organizer of the Opera Ball and restaurateur from Steirereck, with shiny pieces of jewellery.
Timeless Elegance
For the debutantes, a great dream comes true with the opening of the unique Vienna Opera Ball. The cufflinks that the young gentlemen receive as a personal gift are valuable mementos that will always remind them of this special night.
The design from Atelier Heldwein is inspired by the silhouette of the Vienna State Opera. The cufflinks are made of high-quality 925 sterling silver. This year, a magnificent brilliant-cut diamond shines in the middle of the shimmering white mother-of-pearl inlay – matching the sparkling tiaras of the debutantes.
Sparkling Surprise on the Main Stage
The subsequent opening program by the artists will certainly also be impressive. When the Opera Ball returns to the State Opera, opera star Camilla Nylund and tenor Andreas Schager will interpret pieces by Franz Lehár and Robert Stolz. Soprano Nylund’s evening gown will be a special surprise for all viewers on February 16th – even the elegant pieces of jewelry that complete it will remain a well-kept secret until that night. What can already be revealed is that these are precious pieces from Atelier Heldwein.
Everything New at the Opera Ball.
Despite the rich tradition of the Opera Ball, the long break has also brought some changes. This year, a committee of experts will organize the ball. This committee consists, among others, of the “Steirereck” restaurateur Birgit Reitbauer, who will be outfitted with jewels from Heldwein’s Atelier for the sparkling ball night. Her earrings and her ring were made with the finest craftsmanship – the design of her earrings features high-quality, brilliant-cut diamonds in a setting of 18-carat white gold. Magnificent diamonds in brilliant and trapezoidal cut sparkle in the matching ring.
